In November 2019, when Mike and Natalie made their franchise debut, they were already engaged. Natalie was seeking a K-1 visa to lawfully enter the country as the fiancée of an American citizen. The couple encountered a snag when there was a hold-up after their mutual acquaintances named them the child’s godparents. Mike scheduled a trip to Ukraine to meet Natalie since they had to meet one other immediately.
The couple started talking about important issues like religion, finances, and whether or not they wanted children because the K-1 visa (and marriage) were approaching quickly, and they discovered they had quite different perspectives. The night before Mike was supposed to leave for his home in Sequim, Washington, they had a major quarrel, and Natalie threw her engagement ring into his bag.

When they returned for the season 7 tell-all, they were still battling relationship problems. Mike refuted Natalie’s accusations that he had cheated on her with his closest female friend. Although Mike believed Natalie to be his “soulmate,” Natalie added that she didn’t think of her fiancé that way.
Mike and Natalie’s Season 8 Return
Mike and Natalie got the good news they had been waiting for on the season 8 debut in December 2020: her K-1 visa was finally approved. Even though their relationship was still in trouble, they decided to give it one more shot and take advantage of the extra time to resolve their issues during the 90 days before their wedding. However, when Natalie landed in Washington, things became worse.
After living in Ukraine’s central city of Kyiv, Natalie found it difficult to adjust to life on a farm in a remote area, and the couple continued to argue. Additionally, they clashed over their different lifestyle choices: Mike wants to eat meat and drink beer with dinner, whereas Natalie is a vegetarian and abstains from alcohol. Natalie believed Mike Youngquist would have returned her ring immediately and begun planning their wedding. Thus this was another area where they disagreed.
Instead, Mike appeared to be choosing a date for their wedding and frequently told Natalie that he didn’t think they were ready to get married. When Mike eventually decided to go to couples counselling with Natalie after Natalie suggested they seek professional treatment, the tension reached a breaking point. Mike confessed his disinterest in Natalie on their first meeting.
In a March 2021 episode, Mike called off their wedding, sending Natalie into a mental breakdown. “I’ll take a plane to Europe and decide how I will come home. Sincerely, I have no idea how yet. As she gathered her belongings and was ready to leave his residence, Natalie said, “I’m afraid because it’s a coronavirus, and I have to f—king travel through [the] airport, and it’s f—king scary, and it’s not OK. But I also believe a man who treats me this way does not truly love me. My last day in America is today.

Unfortunately, the couple’s marriage wasn’t without its challenges. When they returned for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? their union had already fallen apart. A significant turning point occurred while they were in Oklahoma, spending Thanksgiving with Mike’s mother, Trish, according to their scenes, which appeared to have been shot in the fall of 2020. Mike and Natalie visited Trish while staying at her house, but Natalie thought Trish wasn’t very hospitable to her.
Additionally, Natalie felt betrayed by Trish on several occasions, including when Trish insisted on taking her to a nearby butcher shop despite knowing that Natalie is a vegetarian, insisted Natalie work as an interpreter rather than pursue her dreams of becoming an actress and a journalist, and when Trish allegedly called Natalie a “hooker.” The fact that Trish referred to Natalie as a “hooker,” despite denials from Mike and Trish, was the final straw for the blonde beauty.
She told Trish that she had spoken to her mother and had been warned not to speak to Trish on the morning that she and Mike were scheduled to fly back to Washington. “I apologize. My mother has my ear. Natalie turned around and left Trish’s house to wait in the car, saying, “Bye.” Natalie refused to discuss her problems with Trish and Mike, and until they arrived at the airport, she gave them both the quiet treatment.
Natalie bypassed Trish in the airport security queue when they got there without saying goodbye. The conflict between Mike and Natalie erupted in a July 2021 episode. The couple fought once more when filming their joint confessional because Natalie still believed Trish had labelled her a “hooker” while she was at her house in November 2020. While taping their interviews, Mike advised Natalie to call his mother and confront her to put the matter to rest.
Trish confirmed over the loudspeaker that she “never” referred to Natalie as a “hooker.” Trish did not hold back when Natalie questioned her about Natalie and what Natalie had done to make Natalie feel that way. Trish told Natalie that she is furious with her because of how she treats her son and that Natalie is “mean” to Michael “all the time.” Additionally, Trish asserted that Natalie “manipulates” Mike and doesn’t think Natalie cares about her son.
On Christmas Eve 2020, the pair began to argue over their most recent argument. Natalie then left to visit with her friend Julia in Seattle. Mike became so enraged that he exited the couch and began ranting across the room. Since Christmas, his wife has only spent one night in their home with him since she spends most of her time with Julia, he admitted. When her spouse questioned her, she said they quarrel “a lot.” The confrontation between Mike and Natalie became so intense that Mike left the set.
When Did Mike and Natalie Split?
Mike’s Uncle Beau Lawrence told In Touch that the two had split up in March 2021. The season 8 alum added, “She hasn’t been home for a few months. “I don’t care as long as she stays away.” “I’m hoping [their relationship is over for good],” he continued. I supplicate God. In June of that year, Uncle Beau and Tamara, Mike’s next-door neighbour, appeared together on the “Kiki and Kibbitz” podcast. According to Tamara, Natalie was the one who started the separation and added that she left Mike’s residence on Christmas Eve, 2020. Natalie has since relocated to Florida, but her ex-husband remains in Washington.
Mike and Natalie: Are They Divorced?
According to court records, Mike and Natalie have not yet filed for divorce as of October 19, 2022, which In Touch can confirm.
Are Mike and Natalie dating any new people?
Mike was believed to be content with his new romantic status as of May 2021. In an exclusive statement to In Touch then, Uncle Beau said, “Mikey and I are having fun again now that I’m single too.” There are more fish in the sea, that’s true. Mike ignited dating rumours with Marcia “Brazil” Alves, a former Rock of Love Bus cast member. In September 2021, the VH1 celebrity posted pictures of them having fun together in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Instagram.
