A new book claims that after Trump’s second impeachment for orchestrating the fatal Capitol assault to overturn Biden’s election win and stay on to power, Trump penned a “shockingly kind” farewell letter to Joe Biden. Quotes from Chris Whipple’s The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House were released by Politico on Tuesday. In them, Biden is quoted as stating of Trump’s message, “That was very gracious and generous … Shockingly gracious.”
The outgoing president always leaves a note for the incoming one. The memo sent by George H.W. Bush to Bill Clinton is often cited as an example of politeness between political rivals in high office. Clinton said the letter showed “the heart of who he was … an honorable, gracious and decent man who believed in the United States, our constitution, our institutions and our shared future” in an obituary for Bush published in the Washington Post after his death.

Whipple’s book will be published in January. He told Politico writing it was “tough, because … this is the most battened-down, disciplined, leak-proof White House in modern times”.
Yet Whipple has written before on White House chiefs of staff in The Gatekeepers, and he was granted access to the Biden https://smartnewszone.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/21-1.jpgistration, allowing him to conduct interviews with Ron Klain, the current occupant of that position.
