Over the weekend, Usher pulled off a cunning and funny April Fool’s joke. Luckily for the rest of us, he posted a video of his hoax. At the Dreamville Music Festival in North Carolina on April 1, the 44-year-old “Yes!” singer halted his performance to reveal that he will soon be joined onstage by a very special visitor.
Wearing a blue shirt and pants, Usher tells the crowd in footage of the moment he posted on Instagram.
“Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, put your hands together for the one, the only, Beyoncé.”

Consequently, the idea of the “Break My Soul” singer dropping over to play unannounced sent fans into a frenzy. As Usher turns to look behind him in the video, the audience can be heard cheering for many seconds while he waits for Queen Bey to appear.
Yet Beyoncé doesn’t show up. She isn’t anywhere to be found. Usher starts acting goofy and acting like he’s looking for Bey offstage. He waves for Bey to join him and motions as he has seen her. The Grammy winner then signals the crowd to wait while stepping away from the microphone by holding up one finger.
He makes a hand signal as he moves to the edge of the stage and appears to be speaking with someone in the wings. The cheeky vocalist then turns around and returns to the mic, grinning and saying, “April Fools.”
Since they started to laugh and shout instead of booing him off stage after the disclosure, the audience appeared to be devoted Usher fans who got the joke. The singer captioned his amusing video, adding the shrugging and laughing emojis (as reported by Twitter)
