Owner Elon Musk of Twitter expressed his displeasure with Wikipedia on Tuesday, accusing the website of planning to remove its entry on the “Twitter Files Investigation.” The billionaire CEO of Tesla claimed that the website’s “non-trivial left-wing bias” was on display when it hinted that the entry on the topic would be removed because anybody can modify the content on it.
Several Wikipedia contributors claimed the article was based on “nothing,” necessitating a thorough examination of the claims made. According to a report by Fox News Digital on Friday, “The Twitter Files” was a bombshell Twitter thread by Substack journalist Matt Taibbi that revealed the internal communications of Twitter employees and U.S. lawmakers regarding the censorship of the New York Post‘s Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020.
By keeping the subject under wraps, the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign avoided a big controversy concerning Hunter Biden’s drug usage and business transactions in the final days before the election.
The Twitter Documents also revealed how third parties may manipulate the platform to remove content they disapproved of. According to Taibbi, the leftist slant of Twitter’s personnel means that the company receives more requests to block conservative messages than liberal ones.
As of 2:00 PM on Tuesday, “According to the “Twitter Files Investigation” entry on Wikipedia, the tweets were “a Substack piece by Matt Taibbi published in December 2022.” It showed discussions among Twitter staff members discussing content filtering in light of the New York Post piece that stoked the flames of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal.”
It added, “Officials of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party asked Twitter employees to remove tweets they flagged.” A conservative critic named Ian Miles Cheong notified Musk that Wikipedia was planning to remove its entry on the big thread. This article is “being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia’s deletion policy,” as he pointed out on Twitter.
Wikipedia is voting on the deletion of the entry for Elon Musk’s Twitter Files because the editors have deemed it a “nothing burger” that is “not notable” because the media didn’t give it enough coverage. These people work hand in hand with the MSM to shape the narrative. pic.twitter.com/Acu6UaG0n5

According to a tweet by Cheong, “Wikipedia is voting on the deletion of the entry for Elon Musk’s Twitter Files because the editors have deemed it a ‘nothing burger’ that is ‘not notable’ because the media didn’t give it enough coverage. These people work hand in hand with the MSM to shape the narrative.”
He showed screenshots of accounts he claimed were challenging the Twitter files’ disclosures and calling for Wikipedia to remove the article. Image caption: “nothing event concerning another nothing event,” as one user put it. A second user said the “Twitter Files” were “generally ignored by the media (with good reason)”.
Most of Earth: “The MSM is biased.”
Wikipedia: “Cite MSM source to confirm this claim.” 🤣🤣
Wikipedia has a non-trivial left-wing bias.@jimmy_wales, what are your thoughts?

Twitter CEO Elon Musk took to the platform on Tuesday to vent his frustration with Wikipedia, claiming the encyclopedia planned to remove its article on the “Twitter Files Investigation.” Given that anyone can edit the site’s content, Tesla’s billionaire CEO claimed that the site’s “non-trivial left-wing bias” was on display when it hinted that the entry on the topic would be removed.
