Elon Musk’s kid has joined the Twitter revolution! Two months after Musk took control of the social media platform, the SpaceX founder tweeted rare images of his and Grimes’ 2-year-old son, X AE A-XII, visiting the office. A photo of the happy family was posted to Instagram with the message, “X in beautiful San Francisco,” written by the 51-year-old investor. Musk also teased the cuteness that is X’s Twitter badge.
They welcomed their first child together in May of 2020, but the business tycoon and his 34-year-old partner, Grimes, have been reluctant to release many images of their son. Exa, who was born to on-again, off-again parents in December 2021, is their daughter. About a month ago, Musk and his partner, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, welcomed a set of twins.
Together with his ex-wife Justine Musk, Tesla‘s CEO is a father to six kids. While their firstborn child, Nevada, passed away at 10 weeks in 2002, they went on to have five more children: twins Griffin and Vivian, now 18, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, now 16. When Vivian applied in April to legally change her name and gender, she stated that she “no longer live[d] with or wish[d] to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.”
In an interview with the Financial Times in September, Musk addressed Vivian’s departure, saying, “I have very good relationships with all the others. Can’t win them all.” He continued, saying that their distant connection “may change” in the future. In March, Grimes revealed some intimate details about raising Musk’s youngest children. “I think E is really seeing [our son] as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff,” the songwriter told “Vanity Fair” at the time. “X is out there.”
Records producer Grimes tweeted that she and Musk had broken up before the story came out, despite the fact that they were dating when the interview was conducted. “he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now,” she wrote. “peace out.”
