Kobe Bryant will always be loved by Vanessa Bryant. Throughout Taylor Swift’s marathon of performances in Los Angeles, the 41-year-old made sure to keep her late husband close to her heart. Just hours before Taylor was supposed to take the stage for her debut performance at SoFi Stadium, as shown in pictures shared on Instagram Stories on August 3, Vanessa added a sizable silkscreen of Kobe and the pop star to the back of her Eras Tour jacket.
The photo was shot in 2015 when Kobe gave Taylor a banner for breaking the Staples Center attendance record for the most sold-out performances. It was bordered by a bejewelled border and felt lettering that read, “SWIFTIE.” In addition, Vanessa sewed a heart-shaped patch with the lyrics “say you’ll remember me” onto the front of her jacket, alluding to Taylor Swift’s smash hit “Wildest Dreams” from 2014. “Mambacita,” she wrote as the caption for a photo of her concert ‘suit.
Natalia, the 20-year-old daughter of Kobe and Vanessa, shared a video of herself crafting friendship bracelets to trade with other Swifties as she got ready to go to the Eras Tour. Before Taylor passed away in 2020, Kobe was a tremendous fan. The legendary player for the Los Angeles Lakers was known to blast Taylor’s music whenever he had the chance, in addition to their onstage encounter during the 1989 World Tour. In 2019, he said on The Jordan Harbinger Show, “I think it’s important to listen to people who do great things.”
Taylor Swift has dominated the field for a very, very long time. I don’t care if you like her music or not; look at what she’s doing, Kobe continued at the moment. It’s terrifying. It’s incredible to be able to accomplish that repeatedly, so I try to learn as much as I can from stuff like that. Taylor posted on social media to offer her sympathies after Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant and seven other people.

She wrote in January 2020, “My heart is in pieces hearing the news of this horrible tragedy. “I cannot imagine the suffering the families are experiencing. To me and all of us, Kobe meant so much. Taylor said, “Sending my prayers, love, and endless condolences to Vanessa and the family, as well as anyone who lost someone on that flight.” To view Vanessa and other celebrities at the Eras Tour, keep scrolling.
