Paul Grant, 56, was found de@d at a train station. He was an actor who had roles in the Star Wars and Harry Potter films. On Thursday, March 16, 2023 afternoon, Grant was discovered in the streets of north London, near King’s Cross station.
After collapsing on Sunday, March 19, 2023 night, doctors deemed him De@d, and they later announced him de@d at 3:49 a.m. on Monday, 20 March. The circumstances behind the dea†h remain unknown.
Grant, who also starred as an Ewok in Return of the Jedi and a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, joined David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly as a member of the Goblin Corps in the cult classic film Labyrinth from 1986.
In the film Labyrinth, the actor doubled for Shari Weiser (Hoggle) and Brian Henson (voice). Willow (1988) and Legend (1985) starring Tom Cruise are two of his other cinematic credits. Sophie Jayne Grant, his daughter, announced her father’s passing. She said:
“I’m heartbroken… No girl deserves their dad to be taken away… He was so well known and loved for his work. He’s gone too soon.”
“We were called at 2.08 pm on Thursday 16 March to reports of an incident at St Pancras Station, Euston Road. We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a response car. We treated a man at the scene and took him to the hospital as a priority.”
Grant is survived by Maria Dwyer, the woman he was seeing at the time of his dea†h, as well as their three children two biological and two adopted and several grandkids.
Dwyer paid tribute to the actor, saying:
“Paul was the love of my life. The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”
Grant’s stepdaughter Stacey has set up a page to raise funds for his funeral. She said:
“I’m starting this page as Paul sadly passed away yesterday and I would like to give him the best send off he would want.”
