Time for a brand-new journey with one of Marvel’s most recognizable superhero ensembles. As the second film in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has just been released. This new action-comedy film, written and directed by James Gunn follows the Guardians as they embark on their final adventure together.

Audiences may wonder if Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) des at the film’s conclusion given that the trailers promote this as one final adventure with our favorite comedic heroes, and a few cast members have confirmed this is their final MCU feature. Here is our response.

What Happened to Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3?

Thankfully, Drax survives until the third and last Guardians film. After Dave Bautista declared that this would be his last appearance as Drax, there was much anticipation that he would pss away. Bautista said:

“I’m so grateful for Drax. I love him. But there’s a relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy—it’s a silly performance and I want to do more dramatic stuff.”

Drax provides even more of the chuckles you would anticipate from his character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He participates in the Guardians’ expedition, where he first makes mistakes that irritate Nebula (Karen Gillan). Drax, on the other hand, quickly guides a group of kids to safety while making them smile during a dire situation.
