Trump says he won’t back the current RNC chair, Ronna McDaniel, or her opponent, attorney Harmeet Dhillon, for the RNC chair position. Trump was asked who he would vote for when he called on David Brody’s conservative podcast “The Water Cooler” on Monday.
“Well, I can honestly say I like both of them. I mean, I get along with both of them. I haven’t taken a stance, you know. Let them fight it out,” Trump said. He went on to say that his lawyer, Dhillon, had “done a tremendous job” representing him in court.

Trump made no reference to Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow and a rival candidate for RNC chair. In an earlier interview with Insider, Lindell claimed that he had “locked in” all of the necessary pledges to prevent McDaniel from having an outright win.
“I have plenty of states now. I believe she’s well under 85 — with my math, I’d say somewhere around 70 to 75,” On January 9, Lindell spoke to Insider about the situation. Although Lindell has said he has still to contact two-thirds of the RNC’s 168 voting members, he has not said whether or not he has enough votes to secure the position.
During this month’s winter meeting, the RNC will vote on who will lead the party. According to The Hill, 101 of the RNC’s 238 voting members endorsed McDaniel’s re-election in November.
Dhillon, not Lindell, looks to be her biggest threat. An alleged Republican National Committee official told CNN in December that the election had turned into “a bare-knuckles brawl” between the two women. Insider’s attempts for comment from Lindell, Dhillon, and officials for Trump and McDaniel were not met with an instant response.
Conclusion
Trump has stated that he will not support either the incumbent Ronna McDaniel or her challenger, attorney Harmeet Dhillon, in the race for RNC chair. On Monday, Trump called onto David Brody’s conservative podcast, “The Water Cooler,” and was asked who he planned to vote for.
